Could be gas: Sometimes gas can be caught in the bend of the large intestine in that area.... And be painful or mononucleosis can cause spleen enlargement which can be uncomfortable as well. If it persists then be seen.

Having a little pain/discomfort in upper left quadrant of abdomen. Had right side of colon removed 3 yrs ago. Pain has been there 3 days; not severe, but nagging. Is about belt level.
Feels like inner movement left side of abdomen mostly upper left quadrant. Very deep under the skin yet tickles to the point i need to laugh. No pain.
