Have noticed that my hand veins are hardly visable at the md's office. at home, are much more noticeable. can white coat syndrome come into play here?

Not a disease: This may be related to the hydration or fasting status many people bring to the office or a spike in blood pressure that happens with white coat syndrome. But it represents health, not disease.

Hand Veins: Hand veins can increase and decrease in size for many reasons including levels of hydration, temperature changes, hormones and genetics as well as with levels positioned above and below the heart. What you describe appears to be a normal venous response. See a vein specialist if still concerned.
