Best: Weight loss: Obesity is the main cause of fatty liver disease which is now #1 liver illness in america. Excessive food, especially fats, causes obesity and thus fatty liver disease. It is reversible if no cirrhosis yet. So, if u have been told so, start with wt loss, minimize alcohol, avoid drugs will reverse the fatty liver. Live healthy, live well, live long. Consult doc. See details: You treat it with weight loss. The major things you must do is minimize carbohydrates and control portion size. Exercising regularly is also a big help. This should be a wake-up call for you at age 39. Unless you begin to take control of your health, more serious issues will occur.
