Unprotected sex: Having unprotected sex is always a risk factor for getting pregnant. It would be difficult to get pregnant at the time you were refering but never impossible. It seems you were on day 8 of your cycle and women dont ovulate on day eight, unless you have a 20 day msntrual cycle. Some info its missing from your case but it would be unlikely. Get a pregnancy test if in doubt.

Maybe: The first week of contraception protection is the most important, likely you were okay, but definitely on the border. Ovulation usually occurs days 9-14... If you put the NuvaRing in on day #8, then you were very close, depending, of course, on when you ovulate. Every woman is different. "average" ovualation is around day 12. Hope that helps.
