Normal: I assume the unit of measure of the BUN is mmol/l. In the us we use mg/dl. 5 mmol/l is equal to 14 mg/dl. Normal range in mmol/l is 3-5.6 so your value is within the normal range.

Okay: This is a bit low in standard US units but I wouldn't worry. Reference range is set arbitrarily so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside. Unless you're a kid being worked up for a rare inborn error of metabolism, or you're obviously in the final stages of liver failure, low BUN means nothing.
