Panic does not kill: While it is not unusual for someone having an anxiety or panic attack to think they are dying and for their pulse and blood pressure to spike somewhat, I have never known or heard of anyone having a heart attack and dying due to a panic attack or due to a brief rise in blood pressure to 160/94 (high but not dangerous unless sustained over months and years). Recommend hands-over-heart breathing.

This no.: Is not that high, but it is still abnormal- I have always advised my patients that as high as their BP goes , can be an indication of hypertension (this was frequently when they asked about "the white coat syndrome") have your pcp work on your panic disorder!
