Symptoms: The symptoms for which it was prescribed may come back. It is always better to consult your prescribing dr before stopping any meds on your own. No, "de novo", schizophrenia proper can not be primarily caused by an antipsychotic; but again psychotic symptoms (or other) may re appear if they were present before starting this drug.

Expect...: Not to first develop schizophrenia from stopping zyprexa do expect insomnia. Possibly a temporarily increase in involuntary muscle movements.
