NO: It is a benzodiazepine, like valium for example. It is intermediate acting and most commonly used for sleep (short term treatment of insomnia) in certain settings. We dont use it in our center. It is certainly not an antidepressant and does not have such effect. If anything, it has depressant action on the human brain cortex. Check with your doctor, good luck.
