A member asked:

What are the chances of cancer with these symptoms? hoarse voice for 4 weeks, 1cm lump on the thyroid and a bigger lymph node on the same side.

Neck lumps: Sounds like you had an ultrasound which identified the thyroid nodule. Thyroid ca does not usually present with hoarseness, unless it is very very advanced. Other cancers, such as ca of the larynx (smoker?) could do this. But in a 21 yo woman? Very unlikely. You need to see your doctor, but more likely you have some viral crud and an incidental small thyroid nodule.

Lumps on the throat: To determine the nature if the lump, it depends on the size and it's consistency and location. It is best to see an ENT doctor who will work this out for you. You are young and not likely to get cancer at your age. You may have a nodule or a polyp on your vocal cord. Good luck. Feel better.
