No: The latent virus can live in the dorsal ganglia, but in just a few . The virus during chickenpox involves the skin, then travels from the skin retrograde to the dorsal ganglia of the nerve fibers. In an attack of shingles the virus becomes reactivated in the dorsal gangia of the nerve and come forth. But it is only in a few of these nerves and fibromyalgia is widespread chronic pain.
