We don't know: Stuttering is complex; it's not just a psychological problem, although speech therapy can cure or improve it for many people. It's not strictly a neurological problem, because we haven't found a brain location that, if some injury occurs, will cause stuttering every time. The best person to ask would likely be a speech pathologist. Good luck!
