Depends on what: Patella/knee cap dislocations usually require a patella stabilizing brace and pt with surgery if persistant pain/dislocations. A true knee dislocation is rareer and more serious with multiple ligament tears to allow it to occur.Brace must maintain the reduction. Rehab includes a hinged knee stabilizer and physical therapy. Takes a while to recover and surgery considered after 1-2 months pt.
