Yes, but....: AT 43 we need to make sure the "anal lumps" are actually the cause of bleeding instead of something up inside the colon. It is usually recommended to look in the colon with colonoscopy prior to an anal procedure on a patient over 40. Most common "anal lumps" that bleed are internal hemorrhoids that can be treated several ways.
