Caution: Red yeast rice is actually the plant where statins were derived from and consuming too much, along with a sensitivity to statins, can lead to the same myopathic pattern people get from taking statins. I would recommend seeing your physician and holding off on the red yeast rice until he can check for enzymes from muscle damage. Best of luck!
