Displacement: The meniscus is a pad between the bones in the knee that keeps the bones from touching, essentially. Yours means that it has moved from its normal position and is probably causing you a lot of pai . You could not tell by looking at it from the outside and sometimes an orthopedic surgeon has to fix this surgically.

Meniscus tear: Hi, If your medial meniscus is displaced, it is likely torn. It could be displaced from its normal location via an extrusion owing to a large radial tear - most often at the posterior root of the medial meniscus or there could be a tear of the meniscus elsewhere allowing the torn tissue to flip or flap out of place and become displaced. An ortho surgeon can treat this for you. Good luck!
