Probably.: Cesarean (puerperal) hysterectomy is a life-saving procedure reserved for women that bleed profusely and uncontrollably after the baby is born. As such, it is typically an emergency - although some of us do all we can to identify cases at high risk for such an outcome before delivery so as to minimize the risks of emergency surgery and provide a more controlled setting for such a major procedure.
