Healthier diet: I counsel my patients to decrease their intake of red meat, avoid fried foods, eat more green and brightly colored vegetables, less white flour and white veggies like potatoes, eat fruits and berries, more fish intake and overall less simple carbs. Stay away from soft drinks (diet or not), decrease or eliminate artificial sweeteners. In the supermarket, more "whole foods" andless processed stuff.
