Very common: Remove the stinger, wash the area and apply ice. However. Some people have a large local reaction and it could take up to 10 days for problem to resolve. If allergic to bee sting could be a potentially life-threatening condition.

Bee stings: Remove stinger by scraping along edge of skin with a credit card. Clean with soap ; warm water. Apply ice in 10 minute. Increments; alternating 10 on ; 10 off. Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Aspirin or Motrin for pain or Benadryl for swelling. Make a paste of 2 parts baking soda ; 1 part water ; apply. Or you can apply a meat tenderizer poultice to the area. Throat, airway or tongue swelling – call 911.

Immidiate and later: Call 911 if you have 1 trouble breathing 2feeling faint or dizzy 3hives 4swollen tongue 5history of severe allergy of insect sting and use epi pen if it was prescribed by your physician if no secere allergy symptoms scrape the area with finger nail or tweezers to remove the stinger do not pinch the stinger as it can inject venom ice the area take antihistamine(benadryl) tylenol/motrin for pain.
