Have it evaluated: Its hard to say the cause with the information provided. But one of the things that comes to mind is temporal arteritis. This is an inflammatory process that affects the temporal artery. This can lead to local pain and numbness. There is a beading sensation along the course of the artery. This can lead to blindness if not treated. Best to have it checked out.

See doctor: Your symptoms may have several causes, from ear and sinus infection to a tmj/tmd problem. Was there trauma involved? Duration and intensity are important to know. You should see your doctor first to rule out what it may or may not be. You shouldn't have to keep suffering.
