Takes time: To establish lymph flow , if it is not due to infection, need to under go physical therapy , use of elastic hand stockings for early resolution of the swelling.

Swelling is common: Following any surgery, swelling is common. Swelling can be due to inflammation, infection and possibly due to abnormal lymphatic drainage. Swelling should improve with time. If you do not see signs of improvement consult with your surgeon.
