Release or relieve ?: Release means a surgical procedure for 4 very tight hamstrings usually in kids or disabled adults. Do u mean stretch hamstrings, then heat, massage followed by ice will help. Must b done in this order. If u just mean stiff hams heat massage; ice will help. Also if very sore ; stiff nsaids ; activity modification should b added. Good luck.
