Yes: Besides usual medications for COPD best prevention is avoid smoking, there is a new medication fda approved to prevent exacerbation , called roflumilast or Daliresp it may decrease exacerbation up to 17 percent.

Inhalers...: The treatment for COPD consists of bronchodilator and steroid inhalers as well as oxygen, if your oxygen level is low enough to warrant this therapy. The best thing to do to prevent infection is to quit smoking and wash your hands very frequently. Avoid being around people with acute airway infections as much as possible.
