A member asked:

Can you tell me how do doctors diagnose fibrocystic breast disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Microscope work: Somewhere between 99% and 101% of women have "fibrocystic change" in their breasts sometime during their reproductive life. We pathologists who diagnose it under the microscope aren't big on calling it a disease. "fibrocystic change" is more appropriate.
