Depends: This is a condition with wide variation in origin and outcome. It has been picked up as incidental finding on autopsy for unrelated problems in normal people. I have treated kids that were amazingly normal and some that were basket cases that had minimal function. If she looks and acts normal, and functions normally for her peer group, why not?
