Yes: In the proper patient, brain surgery for parkinson;s disease does work. One surgery that is done is the implantation of deep brain stimulators. These are electrodes that are placed in the brain and are connected to stimulation units implanted on the chest wall. There are specialized neurosurgery centers that are doing these procedures. Your neurologist should be able to give you some direction.
