A member asked:

Is it likely that my infection with legionnaires' disease will cause a stillbirth?

No: Although legionnaires' can have long-term effects, particularly on the elderly or the chronically ill, these effects are typically fatigue or neurologic symptoms. In the immunosuppressed (hiv patients, those on certain medications, or the severely ill), the bacterium has been known to spread to several organs only on very rare occasions, and no involvement of the uterus has been reported.
