Sometimes-Yes: One type of ehlers-danlos syndrome (eds) is the hypermobility type (iii), whereby patients experience generalized joint hypermobility, recurrent dislocations, chronic pain and skin hyperextensibility. Patients are often tall, and many share the marfanoid body shape which can be seen in other types of eds (i/ii). An orthopaedic sports medicine specialist may offer allograft tissue reconstructions.
