Variable: In micro-hematuria, you lose a negligible amount of blood. With visible hematuria, it can run the gamut from a small amount to a significant amount, even requiring transfusion and emergency surgery.

Here are some ...: The amount of blood loss from hematuria depends the degree and duration of hematuria and other hematuria-related diseases if any. Generally speaking, healthy persons can tolerate and compensate their blood loss up to 45 cc without showing a significant change in blood count of red blood cells for a long time similar to that in some women with heavy menstrual flow.
