Possibly, but: Munchausen's is possible, but not the only explanation. Someone could also have other mental illnesses (such as depression, extreme anxiety disorder, or psychosis, etc) which need care. Malingering is still another possibility, where the person is aware of faking symptoms to avoid particular responsibilities.
