Hydrocephalus: If this is active and symptomatic hydrocephalus then this is treated with a "shunt" a tube that diverts the fluid from the brain to belly. With rare exceptions hydrocephalus is not passed on genetically. Unless you have been diagnosed with a disorder that is genetic and known to have a high risk of hydrocephalus associated with it it is unlikely to be passed to your children.
