A member asked:

Could you know if becker's nevi can turn malignant, and is there any way to get it removed?

Low risk: The skin on a Becker's has only a slightly greater chance than other skin of developing melanoma, and as far as I know no increase for other cancers. Removal with laser isn't going to be perfect. Richard Gere showed his off in lovemaking scenes, other male models / actors have kept theirs, and the several physicians I know who have a Becker's all like them. "That's where a bear licked me!"

Becker's Nevus: There is always a possibility of the nevus to turn malignant but that is not usually the case. Excision would be extensive and can best be determined on consultation with a dermatologist
