MRI finding: This sounds like an MRI description of your lumbar spine. What this refers to is a bulging of the l4-5 disc. This can lead to compression on the thecal sac which is the dural lining that encases the spinal nerves. The degree of compression determines if there are symptoms or if surgical decompression is needed. Symptoms include back pain with radiation down both legs with weakness.
