Is it possible for you to get a collapsed lung from breathing in too much smoke?

RARELY: The lung could collapse if the airway gets extremely swollen from the smoke exposur.

Depends: People who have blebs or bullae, really tighten their throat or cough hard on smoke inhalation and the pressure can cause the blebs or bullae to pop. You can look for an old study on pneumothorax and marijuana smoking which is likely of same cause.
