I asked the pharmacy for 100 mg voltaren (diclofenac) but they gave me 100 mg arthrexin, saying it's the same thing. i just realized it's not. is this arthrexin any as good for severe headache as voltaren (diclofenac)?

NO: Arthrexin is indomethacin. One of the most common side effects of this med is headache. Do not take it.

Maybe even better: Arthrex is Indomethacin and similar to voltaren--both are antiinflammatory medications. Mg for mg, arthrexin is actually more potent and may be a bit more effective in treating acute pain. For example, gout is very painful and Indomethacin is often chosen to treat this condition. It is also a bit higher risk such as gastric ulcers/bleeding etc... Consult doc. Good luck.

Indomethacin: Arthrexin and voltaren (diclofenac) are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Either one may help a headache, but if you are having severe headaches it would be a good idea to see a doctor. Also, you listed breathing difficulty and sometimes nsaids bother asthma - another good reason to see the doctor!
