Maybe and depends: Tmd refers to around 70 different types of problems related to the jaw joint or tmj. The key to treatment is the specific diagnosis. I might suggest seeing a physician to check your ear and a tmd specialist to check your TMJ if there is nothing to be seen in the ear.

External otitis: Itching of the ear strongly suggests external otitis or "swimmers ear". Keep your ear dry. No q-tips. Use ear drops devised for this problem from a pharmacy.
