Eye exam recommended: Once a migraine episode is over, there should be no lasting eye problems. You may have benign floaters but an eye examination is recommended.

See a headache: specialist for diagnosis, imaging and management. An aura that lasts more than 60 minutes may be indicative of more serious pathology. The onset of the actual migraine headache usually occurs within 60 minutes after the aura abates.
