See doctor: Antibiotic resistance is a problem with treating ear infections. If the antibiotic is not working, see your doctor. You might need a different one. Also, if you have a virus, then the antibiotics won't help. Sometimes you will need to have your ears drained in severe cases or when nothing else helps.

Infection: Because of overuse/improper use/genetic mutation, antibiotics have become less effective. You may need another course of antibiotics or a different antibiotic if you have a bacterial infection. If you have viral infection or allergic response, antibiotics will not help. Suggest that you see an ENT, an otolaryngologist. And please do not self-medicate.
