TMJ derangement: Disc displacement with reduction is characterized by displacement of the disc usually in an anterior position upon closing and return of the disc to a more normal position on opening. Patients will usually experience a "click" or "pop". Disc displacement with reduction is not usually accompanied by pain that most patients are able to adapt to the dysfunction. Consult with orofacial pain specialist.
