Not really.: Hypothyroidism is a disease in which the thyroid fails to make enough thyroid hormone. There is a replacement hormone which prevents all of the symptoms, but there is no "cure." sometimes hypothyroidism is transient, but most of the time it is permanent. Sometimes thyroid disease is mimicked by lab errors.
