Hematospermia: Blood in the semen is called hematospermia. It may be idiopathic, meaning no clear reason why it occurs. It is usually benign and not related to any underlying pathology, such as cancer. However, if there is pain or burning, or gross blood in urine (hematuria), a trip to your healthcare provider is mandatory. Hope this was helpful.
