If no problem before: If a woman had no problems eating cream cheese before pregnancy, she should be fine eating it during and after pregnancy. However, she should realize that cream cheese has lots of calories, so eating some is fine but eating a lot is not a healthy habit. As always in life, everything in moderation.

Yes: Regular cream cheese, pasteurized, that you can buy in grocery store is safe to eat during pregnancy. The cheese to avoid is soft cheeses that don't say pasteurized because they can have bacteria that cause listeria infection, which can harm the baby.

Yes.: Cream cheese is safe in pregnancy. It is pasteurized and so the risk of listeriosis is not significant. The cheeses that are best avoided during pregnancy are: brie, blue cheese and feta.
