Stop the narcotics: But if they are necessary, besure to drink 80-100 oz caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily and drink a full glass extra with each dose of narcotic. Can try MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) as well but discuss with your doctor regarding pain relief without the use of narcotics.
