A member asked:

Should i be embarrassed to tell people i'm medicated for adhd?

Not really: Millions of people have adhd, or other chronic problems. You can certainly choose who you want to share that information with, or not, but there is no need for embarrassment. Would you be embarrassed if you had diabetes or a heart condition? These are also diseases which you do not cause, any more than you cause your adhd. Taking your medication is an effective way to control your symptoms.

No reason: There is no reason to be embarrassed, any more than saying youi have high blood pressure. while many people feel it is not a legitimate diagnosis, it is legitimate and nothing to be ashamed of.
