Not an eating dis.: This is not an eating disorder as long as you are not binging, gaining weight, obese, anorexic, or purging. However, it is not a wise way to eat. The amount of weight that we retain at any meal is directly proportional to how large of an Insulin curve the meal causes. It is well-known that one large meal a day causes a huge spike in the insulin. This causes the body to retain more weight per calorie consumed than if the same number of calories were consumed during six small meals with small Insulin peaks. Best wishes.

1 meal a day?: This may or may not be an eating disorder. It depends on whether you're purposefully restricting yourself from eating when you're naturally hungry. Most people -- unless very depressed or very sick otherwise -- experience hunger several times a day. Eating 1 meal a day could impact your metabolism adversely, especially if you tend to eat lots of simple carbohydrates and processed foods.
