Physical therapy: Start with conservative measures like physical therapy and mild pain management. In a young person, there is a good chance that you will improve without surgery. If there are neurological problems like weakness or trouble with bowel/bladder function, you may need to have surgery to improve the situation. Work with your primary care to get the right therapy.
