I've been prescribed 15mg oxycodone to replace the 10mg hydrocodone i was taking. how big of a difference is this?

Almost twice: The dose. I would be cautious making this large of a jump in pain medications. I would carefully discuss this with your prescriber. Be aware of increased side effects including sedation, breathing issues and constipation.
