Don't panic: Most diarrhea is due to a virus, short lived and not terribly impactful. Occasionally after a bad stomach virus, kids can become temporarily lactose intolerant, so pedialyte is a good alternative for 1-2 days. However, for mild to moderate diarrhea, formula supplemented with pedialyte is fine. If vomiting or having high fever, consult your pediatrician.
