A member asked:

Rather embarassing digestive problem. why do i get gassy when pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Space problem: The intestines move food from the north entrance to the south exit via worm like contractions called peristalsis. Pregnancy compresses the intestines so that when gas is formed during digestion naturally it gets temporarily "trapped" by the pressure of the expanding uterus-thus more apparent "gas to go".
