A member asked:

I had sub chorionic hemorrhage, single umblical artery n spinq bifida during preg. r these 3 due to chromosomal disorder. is karyotyping is necessary?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Birth Defect: Single umbilical artery although associated with other birth defects, can be seen in isolation. Spina bifida too can be seen in isolation. It is always a good idea to get the karyotyping for birth defects. Chorionic hemorrhage is nonspecific.
