Please Clarify: What is the question? The average american diet has about 100 grams of protein per day in it already. Why would 24 grams be of concern? Am i missing something?

It's not enough.: For general health it's recommended to take one gram of lean protein (fish, pork, chicken, turkey) per kilogram of body weight. If you weight train, it's recommended to take one gram per pound of body weight to promote muscle recovery and building.
